The book was written in 1949 but was never published until now. It is full of beautiful, original watercolors with text by Gertrude Brown, plus an early photo of Gertrude with a two-page biography by David.
All the characters in the book are members of Gertrude's family... mostly the children and grandchildren of her sister Nelle Brown McLaughlin, David's great grandmother.
